Honesty before enthusiasm. Rodrigues Island is not wheelchair accessible in the way that some European cities are. What it is: flat terrain throughout, negotiable paths, a slow pace and a local guide who knows every alternative route and every property where access is genuinely manageable.
We assess every tour and every accommodation for specific mobility situations. If you use a walking aid, a rollator or a wheelchair — or if you have a cardiac condition, balance issues, arthritis or any condition affecting your physical range — tell us before you book. We will give you an honest assessment of what is and isn't manageable, and find alternatives where needed.
